The Prize
Enter our prize draw for the chance to win a short break in our brand new, fully accessible, three-bedroom caravan during its first year of operation.
Sited on the beautiful Crowhurst Park, Battle, Sussex, this specially designed caravan will be created to meet the needs of families with complex accessibility requirements.
We are currently fundraising to make this caravan a reality - and we’re just £10,000 away. By entering this raffle, you’re helping us get there.
The winner will enjoy a short break for up to 8 people which will take place during the caravan’s first year of operation, with a selection of dates offered (including school holiday availability where possible).
While usually our breaks are only for families living with a rare genetic condition, this prize draw can be entered by anyone.

More about this Special Holiday Caravan
The Sandcastle Trust’s Family Respite Service provides free accessible breaks to families impacted by rare genetic conditions. But we face a challenge:
Wheelchair accessible caravans typically only come as two-bedroom units. This means larger families often wait much longer for a break via our service, as their needs can only be met through far more expensive specialist accommodation.
We’re very close to changing that!
Over the past two years, we have been a partner in a campaign to encourage caravan manufacturers and holiday park operators to recognise the urgent need for larger, truly accessible family accommodation. This work culminated in a lodge manufacturer agreeing to design us a three-bedroom accessible caravan. For the first time, there is now a viable design that goes beyond basic adaptations. Our new bespoke unit will:
- Have three bedrooms, one of which has a profiling bed
- Include ramped, low-threshold access and sliding internal doors
- Have a fully adapted wet room bathroom with space for a fold down changing bench
- Have rise and fall kitchen countertops
- Provide ceiling track hoisting from bedroom to wet room
